Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty (People's Council) of Turkmenistan, presented his new book at a meeting with colleagues, a representative of a children's charity fund, and the head of the republic's Academy of Sciences. According to the former president, he wrote the book during his vacation. This was reported by the news agency «Turkmenistan Today».
The elder Berdymukhamedov noted that, as per tradition, he dedicated his work leave to creative endeavors: he spent much time reflecting and putting down on paper collected data about the country's glorious history.
As a result, the book «Hakyda göwheri» («Pearl of Wisdom») was published.
The work is based on materials dedicated to the influence of Magtymguly Pyragy's works on universal human values, as well as his contribution to national culture and world civilization.
«Whichever era we consider, it is evident that Turkmen culture has always been renowned in the world for its unique values, which have had an enormous impact on human history,» Arkadag emphasized.
The politician reminded that by decision of the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY), 2024 has been declared the year of the great poet and thinker Magtymguly Pyragy, and the city of Anau as the cultural capital of the Turkic world. This fact evokes great pride among Turkmenistan's citizens, Berdymukhamedov added.
The head of the People's Council presented the first copy of the new book to his interlocutors, specifying that it would be published and available to the general public in the coming days. The meeting participants, in turn, congratulated the author on his new creative achievement and expressed the idea that Arkadag's books «are becoming valuable guidance and reference not only for the Turkmen people but also for readers in all corners of the world».
State media also disseminated an open letter from Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov to the republic's President Serdar Berdymukhamedov, in which the author asks the head of state to accept as a gift the first copy of the work dedicated to Magtymguly Pyragy.
«Taking this opportunity, as I send my new book 'Hakyda göwheri', I wish you good health, long life, and only success in your noble activities,» Arkadag wrote to his son.
The elder Berdymukhamedov's vacation lasted from November 1 to 25. Thus, in almost a month, he managed to compose a new work. This book became the 61st in the politician's bibliography.
