This was reported by the WOSCU press service.

«The language, religion, traditions, customs, and history of the Uzbek and Turkish peoples stem from common roots. There are also many similarities in our cultural heritage. Thanks to the initiatives of Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, friendly relations between the two countries continue to strengthen. In particular, our cultural and educational ties are also rapidly developing,» Abdukhalikov noted.

The event was organized with the support of the Turkish Academy of Sciences, Istanbul Technical University, and the University of Culture. The symposium was also attended by Mehmet Fatih Kacir, Minister of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Turkey, Davut Gül, Governor of Istanbul Province, Muzaffer Şeker, President of the Turkish Academy of Sciences, as well as scientists conducting research related to Ali Kushchi's work, including WOSCU members.

«As-Sufi's 'Book of Fixed Stars', which is kept in the library of France and was revised and rewritten in Ulugbek's astronomical school. Recently, our member, Turkish friend, Professor Emek Üşenmez of Istanbul University, reported that a manuscript in the Turkic language belonging to the son of the great scientist Ali Kushchi has been discovered. We propose to hold a continuation of the symposium dedicated to the life and work of the great scientist Ali Kushchi in 2025 in Samarkand, where this outstanding thinker was born and raised. In addition, we intend to organize a forum of Turkish and Uzbek scientists. This forum will be dedicated to studying the cultural heritage of the Turkic world and the lives of great scientists,» said the WOSCU Board Chairman.
