IT Park Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan’s Astana Hub, and Growth Vision Pro have launched an International Hub to help startups from Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan enter the Chinese market. The strategic memorandum was signed during the AlmatyFair.ai exhibition, according to the press service of the Ministry of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan.
The key objectives of the International Hub are outlined as follows:
👉 Acceleration and scaling of Central Asian startups within the Chinese ecosystem;
👉 Organization of business missions, B2B meetings, and participation in industry-specific exhibitions;
👉 Development of product localization strategies, partner and investor search;
👉 Conducting educational programs and joint R&D projects;
👉 Attracting Chinese tech companies and venture funds to Central Asia.
According to Abdulkakhad Kuchkarov, CEO of IT Park Uzbekistan, the joint alliance with Astana Hub has already yielded results, with more than 40 companies from both countries presenting their projects at major international forums. The new hub is designed to enhance this momentum by providing access to Chinese accelerators and investment opportunities.
Growth Vision Pro will facilitate interactions with key players in China, including tech clusters in Shenzhen and Beijing.
“China is not only a vast market but also a source of advanced technologies. Our goal is to make it accessible for Central Asian startups,” emphasized Lazat Borankulova, Director of Growth Vision Pro.
The signed memorandum marks a new phase in the development of the regional IT ecosystem. It strengthens Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan’s positions as innovation hubs and opens the path for integration into global technological supply chains, according to the Ministry of Digital Technologies. In the coming months, the parties will begin implementing the roadmap, including the first business missions to China and the launch of pilot acceleration programs for startups.
It is worth noting that, according to the Ministry of Digital Technologies, Growth Vision Pro is presented as a Chinese company. In fact, it is a Kazakhstani startup that, in September 2024, signed a memorandum with the Central Asia Innovation Cooperation Center in Hangzhou to create an International Hub in China. As noted by the Ministry of Digital Technologies of Kazakhstan, the hub will support startups from Kazakhstan and Central Asian countries, providing them with educational resources, industry expertise, networks, and assistance in attracting investments and entering the Chinese market. Chinese startups will receive similar support to enter Central Asian markets.
